I would not wish a yeast infection on my worst enemy. The symptoms of itching, burning, and painful urination make it difficult to go along with everyday life and focus on work, friends or family. There are yeast infection cures, but most of them only solve the symptoms and not the underlying problem. Learning to cope with yeast infections as they arise is an important part of any womens life who is prone to getting them.

Yeast infection home treatments

You can find numerous yeast infection remedies all over the web. Some seem a little far fetched, but don’t knock em unless you’ve tried them. The goal of any remedy is to reduce the growth of new yeast, so that over a period of 7-14 days the infection is gone and you’re back to everyday life.

These remedies range from using yogurt directly on the infection by inserting it into the vagina, to eating more garlic and drinking thyme tea. Depending on the remedy you choose will determine how long it takes to feel relief

What about yeast infection creams?

You can purchase creams at your local drug store that are specifically for treating yeast infections. You will get results quicker, but they are expensive. A second down side to using treatment creams is over time they will become less effective. It’s worth while looking to natural cures to try and reduce how often you battle these infections to make things easier on you.
