The Cycle
Muscles in the lower abdomen, and some in the thigh, are worked with this workout. Lie flat on the floor, keeping your lower back pressed to the ground. Your knees should be brought up to forty-five degrees, and your hands near your head. Move your legs in a cycling motion like your riding a bike. Bringing your left knee towards your body, touch your right elbow to it. Do the same for the opposite knee and elbow. You will recognize that your abdomen will tighten and your mid muscles will begin to be worked. Daily do twenty reps for best results.
The Captain’s Chair Abs Exercise
You will need a Captain’s Chair, which is a regular gym equipment piece, for this exercise. With the back of your forearms against the arm rest, grip the handles of the chair. Next locate your feet on the step rests. Hoist your body up and your feet off the steps using your forearms. Keep your back against the backrest of the chair, while you hold your body and legs up. With your abdomen tightening, lift up your knees to your chest and exhale. Before you lower your knees, keep them up for a few counts. Do this several times. Every time you lower your knees back down, you should feel the tension release in your abdomen. When done properly, it can be very effective. Doing this daily will definitely get you a six pack.
